SOP For Sampling of Raw Materials

OBJECTIVE: To lay down the procedure for Sampling of Raw material.

SCOPE: This procedure applies to Quality Control Department of Alliance India Unit II.

3.0 RESPONSIBILITIES

3.1 QC chemists to prepare and follow the SOP.

3.2 Head – QA & QC for implementation of SOP.    

4.0 STATIONARY

4.1 For Powder Sample – Cleaned Spatula, air locked polybag.

4.1 For Liquid Sample – Cleaned and dried sampling rod designated for different raw materials.

4.1 For Color – Cleaned Spatula, sampling bottle.

5.0 SAMPLING PLAN

5.1 For Noodles, Soda Ash, and Frisis – Composite sample have to prepare after collecting sample from 5% of the total nos of bags.

5.2 For other raw materials – Composite sample have to prepare after collecting sample from √n+1 nos of container. (If no. of container more than 5).

5.3 Composite sample have to prepare after collecting sample from all the containers equal to 5. (If no. of containers less than 5)

6.0 MAKING OF SAMPLE

6.1 After collecting of sample from calculated no. of containers or bags mix well.

7.0 WORKS AFTER SAMPLING

7.1 Label the sampling bottle or poly bag with information containing Material name, A.R. No., Supplier, Date of Sampling.

7.2 After completion of sampling clean and dry properly all the apparatus have used. 

8.0 Retention time of all raw material control samples shall be up to the expiry date.
