Application Test for Textile Binder | Binder for textile Pigment Printing

The textile acrylic binder of application testing determines fastness wet and dry by fastness testing for the machine and test of color removal in water. Observe the color of half of the print cloth by the color Spectrophotometer.

A). 250ml Beaker

B). Stirrer

d) White Cotton Cloth Piece

REAGENTS

NON IONIC PIGMENT

ACRYLIC BINDER

AMMONIA

DM WATER

FIXER

SYNTHETIC THICKENER

Printing Procedure 

Take the two plastic Becker (jar), one to make printing paste of sample and the other backer make a paste of control sample, now add one by one.  Make a mixture of below mentioned Reagents as follows:

Textile printing paste formulation / Screen printing paste formula

A)    6.0 % NON IONIC PIGMENT DISPERSIONS

B)     14 .0 %ACRYLIC BINDER

C)     77.0 %DM WATER

       1.5 % FIXER

D)    1.5%SYNTHETIC THICKENER HAVING ACTIVE CONTENT 90%

E)     5.0 %AMMONIA

     Textile Print Testing Procedure

        Compatible Mixed a make paste for cloth.

       1) Now print the cloth with this binder paste made above on screen printing table .

       2) Now place the print cloth in oven with 150 ˚C for 5 mins.

       3) Now make SOAP Solution 5GPL by adding 5gm SLS in 1 Litre DM Water having temp. 60˚C. 

       4) Now dip the half of the printed cloth in this soap solution for half an hour, after half an hour dried the print cloth for 5 mins in oven.

Now observe the color of half of the print cloth as it is and half of the print cloth after dipping in soap solution in Spectrophotometer Machine

5. Check the dry and wet fastness by rubbing. See Image.
